Extension of deadline: Call for proposals for the Hispania Monographic Section

2024-04-26

The Editorial Board of Hispania invites researchers in the areas of Medieval, Early Modern and Contemporary History, both Spanish and foreign, to submit proposals for their monographic section, with publication forecast for the second issue of the year 2025. The journal looks for topics of interest that lead to the publication of a maximum of four, exceptionally five quality articles with indisputable internal scientific coherence and representing an advance in knowledge of the chosen topic. It is also recommended a certain gender balance understood as good scientific practice, although the Editorial Board does not establish compliance guidelines in this regard, nor will it be a selection criterion above scientific quality and coherence.

The length and format of each work will be those that apply to general articles published in the journal, which can be consulted in the “Submissions/Guidelines for authors/Instructions for authors” section on the Hispania website.
Proposals must be sent through our website https://hispania.revistas.csic.es/index.php/hispania/about/submissions before May 31 and must include the following data:

  1. Title of the monographic section
  2. Scientific justification and relevance influencing the common thread of the works
  3. Titles, authors and summary of articles

The Editorial Board of the journal will evaluate the proposals and select those that seem of greatest interest, discarding the rest.
