In this article the author analyses the inner dynamics of the jewish communities in Aragon during the fifteen century from demographic, urban and political perspectives. Firs of all, we study the chief factors which explain the slope of population, that is, black plague, Castilian wars, 1391 persecutions and ecclesiastical indoctrination. However, in 1492, there were in the Crown of Aragon about ten or twelve thousands jews. In another chapter, we examine segregational measures related to jewish habitat. Lastly, one of the more outstanding purposes deals with juridical structure of aragonese aljamas, with special emphasis in political organs and electoral systems.
