However important having power may be, transmitting it is essential, and intermediate powers play a fundamental role in this. This article explains how an institution such as the Chancellery of Granada, starting from the great prestige given to it by the Crown, shows the people not only its own power but the monarchy's power. All the resources within its reach are used to that purpose: the iconographic programme of the building, the decoration of the rooms, the public appearances of the judges according to a Royal Agreement and the form of addressing the presiding judge.
