This article analyses the appearance and developement of the pressure group «Damas Rojas», linked with radical republicanism, which was founded in Madrid by the Barcelona group of the same name, so crucial during the «Semana Trágica». An analysis is made of the precedents, protagonists and activities carried out by the group as well as the reactions that these provoked. An evaluation is made of the group as an example of a partially trangressing collective, which provided an important experience in the exercise of citizenship for these women, and trough which they gained a voice and were able to express their vindications in favour of social and political rights.
