The 1784 «Censo de Manufacturas» represents a source that has been unknown up to now. This document shows differences in the units of production, the production equipment, the labour force employed, the raw materials consumed and the products obtained. In the same way, it points out the problems and suggestions posed from the different activities and lands of the kingdom, on which information hasbeen preserved, reflecting the picture of an economic activity that is being transformed.
