Abstract

This work analysis an antinoble conflict took place in village of Fuensaldaña, near Valladolid, where the neighobours manged to succesfully confront the abusive demands of the Vivero. It is true to say that extorsion, abuse and even violence were common in villages under noble control, especially those lands that, since the Trastámara epoque, had been handed over by the Crown to private owners who had no prior connection to them.
